Join narrator, Chris Evans, on an immersive IMAX® adventure to witness the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world’s most remarkable dogs

 

The latest IMAX documentary from IMAX Entertainment, Cosmic Picture and presenting sponsor Mars Petcare,Superpower Dogs will open inIMAX® 3D at the California Science Center on March 16, 2019.  From the filmmakers behind the acclaimed documentaries Jerusalem and Journey to Mecca, Superpower Dogs offers a first-time ever window into the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world's most amazing dogs. The film is narrated by Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger, Gifted).

 

Superpower Dogs follows six real-life working dogs from around the world, along with their human partners, as they brave earthquakes and avalanches, protect endangered species such as rhinos and elephants and transform the lives of people with special needs. The film showcases, through heart-pounding original footage, the incredible abilities of dogs, and how they use their cognitive, sensory, and intuitive capabilities to save lives.

 

Superpower Dogs opens at the California Science Center as the perfect companion for the brand-new exhibitionDogs! A Science Tail, also premiering on March 16, 2019. This hands-on exhibit highlights the dynamic nature of the bond between humans and dogs and enables guests to experience the extraordinary way that dogs see, hear, and smell the world. As a special daily feature, there will be live demonstrations of dogs in various roles, showing agility, sensory and service skills.   • ‘Halo’, a rookie puppy training to join one of the most elite disaster response teams in America;
  • ‘Henry’, an avalanche rescue expert saving lives in the mountains of British Columbia;
  • ‘Reef’, a Newfoundland lifeguard in the Italian Coast Guard;
  • ‘Ricochet’, a surf and therapy legend in California who heals people with special needs;
  • ‘Tipper and Tony’, Bloodhound brothers leading the fight to save endangered species in Africa.
